Set your Expectations as high as you possibly can.  Then wake up each day and work at it with all your heart as working for God and not man.  You will be amazed at what you can accomplish if you believe that you can't fail.

CEO Double Ironman Challenge
As the CEO of the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee I am blessed to work with over 1,200 high school students and their families on three campuses (Lake Country Lutheran, Milwaukee Lutheran and Martin Luther) to give the students an opportunity to strive for excellence. Our Mission is to Share Jesus, Shape Lives and Develop Leaders.  Our biggest challenge is that it costs over $12,000 per year to educate a child and most families can not afford that tuition so we have many students who want to attend our schools who cannot.  

The goal of this crazy effort is to raise $281,200 that will go directly to students through tuition assistance.  That is $1 for every mile that I hope to complete in under 36 hours when I compete in the Virginia Double Ironman Event on October 11th, 2014.

I have been competing in Triathlon for 8 year and have completed 10 Ironman Distance events in addition to many shorter events.  There is something about stepping to the start line and knowing that there is a good chance that you might fail today - but - you also may succeed.   An Ironman is a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike and a 26.2 mile run in under 17 hrs.

The Double Ironman is a 281.2 mile - 36 hr challenge.  It is a 4.8 mile swim (Swimming from Miller Park to the Summerfest Grounds).  The Bike ride is 224 miles (Riding a bike from Miller Park to the Indianapolis Speedway in Indianapolis Indiana)  The Run is 2 Marathons.  52.4 Miles (Running from Waukesha to Madison WI)  The entire event must be completed in 36 hrs to be considered a finisher.
